Air Jordan XII (12) "FLU GAME 97"

The G.O.A.T. played his infamous "Flu Game" in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals over 12 years ago. Now, Jordan Brand will bring back, ONCE AGAIN, the Jordan XII (12) that he wore during that great game in which he scored 37 points and made the game winning play. Now, these have came back out as a retro in 2003, but there are key differences in this shoe that parts ways from the original/retro and makes it more of a "dedication" edition. The main difference from the OG Black/Red colorway is that the leather is now Suede. These "Flu Game" XII's also come equipped with symbols imprinted on the upper & tongue that commerate his accomplishments in the game. PRETTY UNIQUE IF YOU ASK ME. All in all... although they aren't like the OG's... they aren't pretending to be and came out pretty Nice if I should say so myself. Kudos JB... you did something right! These are now available to purchase at marqueesole for $300 but the official release date is still very much in the air.

Nike has officially announced that Dwayne “Flash” Wade will be leaving the All-Star brand to join an all-star team at Jordan Brand. The Miami Heat Hero was quoted by the Associated Press by saying, "I didn’t want to be in the Converse brand anymore because it seemed like they didn’t know what to do with me,” today at the press conference. It seemed that change was on the rise for Flash as he baited the world on upcoming good news the night before via Twitter by saying “good news is coming….stay tuned”. Now Wade joins the collection of popular athletes under Jordan such as Carmelo Anthony, Ray Allen, Chris Paul and Derek Jeter.

“I grew up on the south side of Chicago idolizing Michael Jordan and have worked hard to achieve the same success that he’s had on the court,” Wade said. “I have enormous respect for this brand.” Wade told The Associated Press that he inquired about switching allegiances from Converse to Jordan’s brand before the 2008 Beijing Olympics, doing so, he said, out of concern over Converse’s long-term viability in the basketball marketplace. Coming off a year where the Heat went from 15 to 43 wins and Wade won his first scoring title, Nike apparently agreed that the switch now made sense. “I’m thrilled to have Dwyane Wade join the Team Jordan family,” Michael Jordan said. The deal was finalized Thursday afternoon. Complete terms were not released, although it was believed that the new deal, at minimum, matches the remaining three years on the Converse contract.

These joints are another fusion creation by Jordan Brand called the Air Jordan Winterized Spiz'ike. Not sure how to feel about these... attracted to the all black colorway but I'd really have to see them on someone's feet. If you've looked at the Spiz'ikes in the past... they've always seemed like some sort of BOOT anyway! Guessing these were the logical next step to keep this particular fusion alive. Even with all of these hybrid sneakers, Jordan Brand is REALLY Running Low on Ideas as of late. SMH. This fusion boot will release from October to December and comes in 3 colorways so far: solid black, flint grey/cherrywood red, and brown/black.

The July 2009 releases in the Casio G-Shock collection are a tad more colorful for G-Shock watches, since the more vibrant stylings have usually been restricted to collaborations. G-Shock’s comes with the usual round-dial DW-6900 & square-shaped DW-5600, but also releases a new addition to the family in the more contemporary styled G-8100. These July releases will be available at select Casio G-Shock retailers. The G-8100 is above… the DW-5600 and DW-6900 are below.

THEY'RE FINALLY BACK!!! Jordan Brand will be bringing back one of the most popular Air Jordan's of ALL-TIME with a retro release of the famous "Infrared VI". These bad boys are looking pretty! BUT, as always with JB... there are some catches to the release. Physical differences will take place in 3 areas of the sneaker. The original nubuck upper will be replaced with Suede. The Infrared accents will be replaced by Varsity Red (slightly duller). And finally, the Clear Air Bubble will be made Black. You can view all of these differences in the photos, but honestly it's not worth fussing over... the changes are suttle and almost non-existent. These joints have not been out since Fall 2000... so just grab em up if you are blessed with the chance! Right now, these are scheduled for a January 2010 release. We'll keep you posted with more pics as they become available. Oh yeah, and... COPPED TWICE.
